CLA: Concept Lattices and Their Applications

The role of the CLA Steering Committee is to supervise the International Conference on Concept Lattices and Their Applications (CLA). In particular, the Steering Committee aims to guarantee the continuity and to maintain a good quality of CLA. The Steering Committee decides by majority vote. If no decision can be reached by majority vote, the committee sets up an ad hoc decision procedure.

The Steering Committee:

• Decides on venues of future CLA conferences by selecting a proposal to organize the conference.
  A Call for Proposals to Organize the conference is sent by the Steering Committee not later than 14 months before the conference. The Call is also put at CLA Homepage. The Commitee selects one proposal from the submitted proposals. The selection is expected to be made not later than 12 months before the conference. The Steering Committee appoints the organization committee chair whose name is a part of the proposal.
• Appoints CLA program co-chairs.
  The Committee is expected to appoint two renowned researchers who are willing to work as the program co-chairs not later than 12 months before the conference.
• Sets basic rules for CLA.
  The current rules are listed at CLA Homepage. The rules must be followed by the CLA organization committee chair and program co-chairs. Exceptions to these rules must be approved by the Steering Committee.
